I always encourage the use of the local animal shelter to help save a life and avoid yet another poor animal being euthanized~ if they have no kittens ask a vet, check the newspaper, Petco, and Petsmart also have adoption programs… I have to tell you though that I have 4 cats and all were 1 or more years old when I rescued them and they adopted to me right away and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.. Adult cats are harder to place since they aren’t kittens but they really do make great pets once you give them some love and kisses….
Also be sure to spay or neuter to avoid unnecessary kittens that keep the shelters so full… good luck in your search!
